Good piece Mark. Suppression of speech may be the most important issue facing the Western world today. And it's all done to serve the interests of the PTB. It is truly anti-freedom and should never, ever be tolerated. What's happening in the UK absolutely cannot be allowed to stand.
Thanks for commenting, Sean. I have to say, I'm getting more alarmed about this issue by the day. The arrest of Durov and what happened in Brazil today show that the oligarchs are quite serious right now and making a serious move. Thank God for Elon in this moment, whatever else anyone may think of him. There is no one else of stature standing up for free speech now. If the people behind the Harris/Walz astroturf operation are successful, it's going to be really hard to claw back the freedoms that seemed so uncontroversial just a few years ago.
I think that not enough regular people understand what's going on and what the stakes are, and many think it's OK or even necessary, because they buy the lie that it's really about keeping us all safe. It's why I decided to write this series of articles. It's cathartic, I guess, but I feel like I'm spitting into the wind. Just not much evidence that any more than a handful understand or care.
